All Weather Riding

East Anglia is one of the driest parts of Britain and the sandy soils of Breckland (or The Brecks), which is where Thetford Forest is planted ensures that mud or flood are rarely a factor when a ride is planned. The road-shy can plan routes to entirely avoid traffic if required.

Many miles of bridle paths run through the forest, which is the largest lowland pine forest in Britain. Whilst out riding you are likely to see various wildlife such as deer (Muntjac, Roe and Red deer), foxes, rabbits and a vast array of birds, including Golden Pheasants.

"Weather could have been a bit kinder to us! But as everything is sandy we were still able to go for long canter hacks and play around your cross country course without fear of it being slippery, so it didn't really affect us and certainly didn't spoil our holiday.

Once again, many thanks and hopefully see you again next year!"
